The Lakers dropped Game 3 up in Denver on Friday night 84-99. The Lakers still lead the best of seven series 2-1.
However, Bryant was still in a playful mood after the loss, as he decided to poke a little fun at Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari when he was asked the reasons why the Lakers lost game 3:
“We shot 6 for 25 from the three point line we can’t do that.” Bryant said. He would then say sarcastically, ”And Gallo’s defense was exceptional.”
After making a room of reporters laugh, Bryant then chuckled and walked off the podium.
The Black Mamba is clearly not concerned with the defense of Galinari as he is averaging over 30 points per game in the series.
The concern for some Laker fans however was Andrew Bynum.
Bynum admitted that he wasn’t ready for Game 3 in Denver leading to a scoreless 1st half.
Bryant was asked if he was angered by the admission:
“No, the first step to improving as a player is admitting to yourself that you’ve done something wrong and (knowing) how to correct that. I do the same thing, too. I just don’t tell you guys.”
Bynum made it clear on Saturday that he will be ready for Game 4 which tips off tonight at 6:30pm PST and will be televised on TNT and KCAL channel 9 locally in Los Angeles.
