(David Brickley) – The Lakers beat the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night 104-100. Taking a 2-0 series lead.
Bryant scored 38 points on 15/29 shooting. The 38 from Bryant was his highest-scoring performance in the playoffs since Game 5 of the 2010 NBA Finals.
It was also the 83rd time he has recorded at least 30 points in a playoff game. Second only to Michael Jordan who has 109 30+ point playoff games.
With the Lakers taking a 2-0 series lead, Bryant was asked about the rhythm of the team coming into the playoffs:
“Last year was so much of a broken season with injuries, and myself not being able to practice and things like that so it was kind of tough to build a rhythm.” Bryant said.
“This year we’ve done a great job of that. We’ve always been a team that’s really paid attention to detail, and we’re a pretty intelligent team.”
The Lakers look to go up 3-0 in Game 3 Friday up in Denver. That game is scheduled for 7:30pm PST and will be televised on both ESPN, and K-CAL 9 locally in Los Angeles.
