Kobe Bryant gave this statement regarding the tragedy happening over in Japan:

“Japan is enduring its worst national crisis since World War II. In the wake of the earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear crisis I send my deepest condolences and prayers to the 500,000 people who have been left without a home, the tens of thousands reported missing, the nearly 4,000 who have lost their lives, and the families and friends who are searching or grieving.

I commend the countries and United Nations agencies that are showing their support by sending aid, medical teams, military forces, and search and rescue squads. I’m also proud of the county of Los Angeles for dispatching our elite firefighters. Many lives will be saved through this global assistance.

I encourage everyone to text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation to help or to donate here http://bit.ly/eZJDoJ

It’s terrible what’s happening over there. Japan is such a nice place. Not to mention that KB was named after the city there that’s famous for it’s beef.
