Good Friday marked the Lakers 14th consecutive home game win against the Jazz 106-92. Lamar Odom and Kobe Bryant helped put is away against Utah with a solid fourth quarter, and even better on a day when Kobe Bryant signed a three-year, $84-million contract extension.
“I’m really excited to be here,” said Bryant, It’s very rare to have a player play his entire career in one city, so I’m very excited about it.”
Bryant had 25 points, going 15 of 18 from the free throw line and Odom finished with a season-high 26 points and 10 rebounds.
“We played defense, and really moved the ball,” Lamar Odom said. “We played the triangle, we had a good practice the other day as far as execution and we just came in wanting to execute the offense.”
Gasol added 16 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists.
Meanwhile, Lakers forward Luke Walton said he will play Sunday against the Spurs at Staples Center. Walton has played just 24 games this year while battling a pinched nerve in his lower back.
