Not only is Kobe Bryant the best player in the NBA, but he also gives back to his fans. Kobe invited Jeremiah Eason, a basketball player from Fort Lauderdale Dillard High School to watch the Lakers play the Miami Heat.
Eason, a 16-year-old forward on Dillard’s boys’ basketball team, survived a shot to the back of the head last summer. Kobe met Eason when he made a special visit to the Dillard High School basketball team with an opportunity to design their own Nike ID for the Zoom IV.
Even with the Lakers losing in Maimi, Kobe greeted Eason not only to sign the gold 24 jersey that he was wearing but Bryant wanted also to introduce him to a “special guest”. Waiting outside the locker room to meet Eason was baseball legend Albert Pujols.
Jeremiah Eason has made a great recovery and is back to impressing the crowd that watched him play on Dillard’s boys’ basketball team.
Doesn’t get much better than getting to talk with Kobe and meet Albert Pujols
