Though it was far from his best performance, Kobe Bryant’s 22 points in the Lakers’ 88-79 victory over the Houston Rockets moved his total to tie with Patrick Ewing for 15th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
With 24,837 points, Bryant likely will move up in the record books fairly soon. He is 355 points behind Jerry West, who also holds the Lakers’ all-time record with 25,192 points. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, another Lakers great, is on top of the list with 38,387 points.
