The fourth quarter of Saturday nights game against the New Jersey Nets was a highlight show and the leaders were Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom. The Lakers opened the second half a bit sluggish, but Kobe took over and the rest of the Lakers followed.
Kobe Bryant had 29 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 103-84 victory. Pau Gasol had 14 points and 14 rebounds for the Lakers, who improved to 21-4 after winning their third straight.
Game Quotes:
Lamar Odom: “We are a big team against a small lineup. I was feeling good, I was brining it. These guys are just so good offensively. If we play defense, anyone can score because there is too much offensive talent.”
Phil Jackson: “I screwed up the game by playing a lot of guys; 11 guys in the first half. Get some rest for the guys who had to play back to back and got ourselves ready to play the second half. Came out and played the kind of game we had to play in the second half.”
